
In between making comics, I've been secretly practicing 3d animation in maya for a while. I was on a big stop-motion kick last week after deciding that making an actual puppet would be a lot less stressful, but after much consideration I decided that I should try out 3DS MAX before washing my hands of it entirely(plus, making good stop motion puppets is expensive). I've also started using zbrush which is a pretty cool program:

very easy to make ugly old faces with lots of weird wrinkles, but very hard to make pretty, soft things. I still don't like texturing yet:

We'll see how how this 3d thing goes...
